Optometrists, like most businesses, produce a variety of waste. All different types of waste must be carefully disposed of in the correct way and it is down to the individual optometric practice to ensure that their waste is disposed of in the necessary manner. Here Dr Susan Blakeney, Optometric Advisor to the College of Optometrists, discusses the waste disposal advice developed in 2009 with Hugh Breakspear.
