In this edition of Advances in Eyecare three experts are discussing their fields of research and how it is applicable to optometric practice. The course includes an overview of the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical optometry, including the application of Bayes theory in clinical management. There is a review of recent research in the use of such technologies in glaucoma referral refinement and a look at the use of AI in OCT and image analysis to aid the overall accuracy and efficiency of the practitioner.
