The final module of Docet's successful ageing eye series is split into two parts. The first part covers all aspects of a low vision assessment of elderly patients in community practice. In the second part you can follow a panel of experts discussing four case scenarios followed by suggested management plans for each patient.

Before you start the second part of the course please ensure that you have either completed Visual Impairment - Part One or you are familiar with adapting clinical assessment and history and symptoms taking for a visually impaired patient, conversant with how to decide upon magnification requirements, the use of specialist charts and how to record results and up-to-date with the nature and properties of a range of optical, non-optical and electronic low vision aids.

In the second part of the low vision course you will meet Elizabeth, Moira, Leonard and Ray and follow a panel of experts who discuss the optical needs, field loss, mental health and mobility issues of the four patients. You can then look at a management plan for each patient.
