This audio course is on the development of a new retinal denistometer.

Macular disease accounts for over half of all visual impairment in the UK, placing a large burden on society as well as on individual sufferers. Dr Tom Margrain, from Cardiff University, has collaborated with engineers at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre to develop a new technique for detecting the early signs of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Here, he talks to Gwyneth Morgan about his research.
