Course Summary:

Professor Rupert Bourne & Polly Dulley (20:40)

In November 2013, the results of an analysis of the worldwide causes of vision loss were published. The study, which was a collaboration between experts from countries across the globe, found the most common causes of vision impairment differed significantly over time and between demographics.

Professor Rupert Bourne, consultant ophthalmologist and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Vision and Eye Research Unit of Anglia Ruskin University, led the study group and here Polly Dulley asks him about the implications of the findings and how they relate to UK optometrists.

First published in DOCET OQ89 (2014).
