  Alzheimer’s disease is well known to cause a range of cognitive and behavioural concerns. Perhaps less well known is the significant impact the disease has upon the health of the eyes and vision. Understanding this may well help in earlier diagnosis, improve optometric management, and benefit the ongoing care for the patient. Here, Dr Robert Cubbidge discusses the role of the clinician in dementia management with Dr Doina Gherghel from the Vascular Research Laboratory at Aston University.
