Although not a particularly popular test with patients or practitioners due to its subjective nature, visual field testing is an important tool in an optometrist’s clinical kit. While retinal imaging may be quicker and look more impressive, a visual field test provides vital information about the function of the visual system, which arguably is more important to the patient than its structure. Although this tool is typically used to help in the identification of glaucoma, it can also aid in the diagnosis of many other conditions, not only in the eye but further along the visual pathway.
This one-hour recorded webinar will explore non-glaucomatous visual fields, covering the choice of test, interpretation of field plots, and appropriate referral.
The lecture concludes with a Q&A where Dr Rountree answers some of the questions raised during the live session.
At the end of the course you can complete the CPD quiz to gain one non-interactive CPD point.
