Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common form of macular degeneration in the UK, affecting more than 600,000 people.
This five-part series on AMD covers the condition from physiology, pathology and classification through to assessment, management, referral and treatment.
Part three examines clinical assessment techniques to enable you optometrists to investigate and diagnose AMD confidently. It also explores strategies for effective patient communication and approaches to management and referral.
