Optometrists work in a variety of clinical environments and roles, and they all need to take clinical accountability for their patients and the practices they work in.

This recorded webinar aims to help optometrists to understand the leadership role that they need to take in community practice, and how they may influence colleagues in their team.

The expert panel discusses common situations that occur every day in practice and looks at optometrists’ responsibilities.

The areas covered in the session are:

  • Section 1: Clinical Supervision, including pre-screening and delegated tasks - Roshni Kanabar
  • Section 2: Patient journey/referrals, multidisciplinary working, and continuity of care - Willis Wilkie
  • Section 3: The importance and relevance of clinical governance in practice – Brian McCotter

At the end of the presentations, optometrists’ questions that were raised during the live session are discussed by the panel, facilitated by Philippa Shaw.

At the end of the course, you can complete the CPD quiz to gain one non-interactive CPD point.
