The Anterior Eye module has been designed to support optometrists and IP practitioners in the diagnosis and management of patients presenting with chronic or non-sight threatening anterior eye conditions. 

Videos, images and detailed references provide wide-ranging information on eyelid, conjunctival, tear film, scleral and corneal disorders and foreign bodies.

Each condition is covered in six sections i.e. presenting symptoms, what to look for (appropriate examinations and investigations), differential diagnosis, management (for standard optometrists), further clinical management (either for IP optometrists, GPs or ophthalmologists) and references.

The user-friendly, topic-specific virtual folders are a useful resource for day-to-day practice as well as a valuable foundation towards a MECS qualification. 

To gain CPD points the material has been divided into three sections covering various anterior eye conditions respectively.

For non-interactive CPD on conjunctival disorders please ensure that you have looked at the following conditions:  Infective conjunctivitis (including bacterial and viral), allergic conjunctivitis, sub conjunctival haemorrhage, pinguecula and pterygium.
